Decisions for the Urban Farmer: To Wash or Not Training Class
Plantation Park Heights Urban Farm x UMD Plant Science and food safety workshop series for the new or inspiring urban farmer!!! This class, to wash or not to wash? As urban farmers and growers selling in farmers markets, donating produce, or giving away to community members, what are the safety precautions around washing produce or should you even wash at all! Please join us at PPHUF in our warm cozy greenhouse on February 28, 2024 from 4pm to 6pm to dive more into the produce safety side of urban farming!!! Produce safety is a very important topic for all growers and consumers!!

Juneteenth Celebration
On Saturday June 17th, 2023 we will be hosting our annual Juneteenth Celebration at the farm. Juneteenth holds historical and cultural importance, serving as a symbol of the end of slavery in the United States and celebrating the resilience, strength, and contributions of African Americans. At this event, there will be special performances, spoken word, live drumming/music, and SO much more! We have built a safe space in our own Agrihood and decided to bring a Farmer’s Market right to your backyard.
